Ohcha, westage - reveiw
Westgate still maintains a quiet somber mood every time I tread down those memorable corridors. A lot of places are mostly empty, but I do believe that with time, this will change. Lots of time. I cant help but have a mini heart attack everytime someone so much as mentions it's name.
So with that, my introduction to NRW this year was Ohcha. An Asian fusion restaurant on the groundfloor of Westgate. The restaurant is set up like a fast food spot with a DIY noodle/rice menu behind the couter. But today we sample the NRW menu.
I had the papaya salad starter while my date had the vegetable spring rolls. Both dishes were slightly underwhelming but large in quantity. I didn’t finish my salad as I was anticipating the main course. I had been eyeing their menu all day.
The drink that accompanies the meal is a lemongrass lemoneade. Such a brillian idea whoever came up with it!! So cool and refreshing. I almost wrote a jingle for it.
For my main course I had the crispy tofu mix. Which is just a tofu stirfry with rice. Oh what heaven! Even though I was craving noodles, the rice really hit the spot for me. My date had the cashew chicken and says he had a tough time actually finding the chicken but once he did, he quite enjoyed it.
I would definitely recommend that place but more for lunch than dinner.
I give it a 7/10.
