...TO PLATE (PART 2)
My farm to plate week continued with this absolutely delicious meal i made from the veggies I personally picked from Mlango farm.
I have never cooked turnips in my life before so I did seek some help from my sister, Vegan chef in Atlanta. Please check out her work here.
So I made caramelised roast turnip and sweet potato. I won't post the recipe yet because I haven't perfected it but I basically tossed the turnips, sweet potato and onion in the oven, drizzled in olive oil with salt and pepper then made a separate herbal glaze to toss them in once they were done.
I also made a salad with lettuce, apples then added mayo.
Please enjoy the picture but know that they do no justice to how wonderful this meal was. I stuffed my face with the yummy goodness knowing fully, how low the calorie count was!
